Matt Meinsen is a New York based actor and member of the Screen Actors Guild and American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.

Matt studied at SUNY under the direction of Max Schaefer, whom he credits as his acting mentor, and also had the opportunity to study voice and work side by side with the late Tony Award winner, Shepard Coleman.

In 2012, Matt made the decision to take his lifelong love of acting to the next level and pursue acting as his only career.  After 18 years of local and regional stage work, and portraying some of the greatest characters of the stage, he has now begun to expand his resume beyond stage work, and has set his focus on the crafts of film and television.

He was seen regularly for 5 seasons as D.S. Agent Matt, the perpetually grumpy security detail for Secretary Of State Elizabeth McCord (Tea Leoni) on the CBS Hit "Madam Secretary", and has recently completed work on several films, both short and feature length, including the critically acclaimed Netflix  film "The Half of It" from director Alice Wu and NBC's "The Blacklist".

Matt continues to pursue new challenges in the entertainment industry, and currently resides in Orange County, NY with his wife and 2 daughters.
